About Me
My name is Eric Griffin, better known as Griff, and I have the unique ability of providing clarity to complex problems. Over the past 30 years I have co-founded and sold multiple companies, while today leading Mobile Outfitters and GSW Real Estate in Philadelphia in addition to serving on 4 boards.
As a business coach for entrepreneurs and executives, I bring a rare mix of strategic clarity and tactical know-how drawn from over 30 years of entrepreneurship. My ability to translate complex, messy business problems into practical next steps across sales, marketing, hiring, internal communication, culture, and automation leads to “a-ha” moments that move the needle. I am also highly experienced in EOS, Jim Collins, and other well-known best practices.
Outside of work, I enjoy running half marathons, baking bread and pizza, cooking, traveling with my wife Jen and our son Henry, hiking with our dogs Olli and Roo, gardening, and making killer espresso. You can find more of my thinking on Quora, along with my various interviews and articles here.

The key to sales is the right combination of products, customers, and sales channels. Coming up with the perfect USPs, market, and positioning that resonate and make people want to buy is my specialty. I’m a firm believer that anything can sell well with the right pitch and sales channel.

My love for design and user experience drive a passion for marketing. Figuring out how to be the purple cow in your market is critical to success and often easier than people think. Creative direction, brand identity, pitch decks, brand messaging, print & digital collateral design, web development, marketing automation, trade shows, and lead generation are my strengths. I’m also an expert in HubSpot setup and integration.

Culture is the secret weapon to business, and sadly most organizations pay no attention to it. Every company has a culture - you either have a culture by default, or a culture by design. If you haven’t designed your culture, and everyone at the company isn’t crystal clear on what that culture is, then the many actions happening every day are not driving you towards your vision. I enjoy collaboratively creating cultures and/or making culture come alive throughout an organization. I enjoy looking at products and services from the end-user’s perspective and coming up with constructive feedback that takes them from good to amazing. Amazing products get more people to buy, get them buy more often, and get them to passionately tell their friends to buy.

Automating manual processes with inexpensive software and platforms. It’s amazing what can be done easily that most organizations aren’t doing, especially with the onset of AI. I am also highly experienced creating custom solutions and managing overseas software development.

Zooming out to look at a business, challenge, or opportunity and finding the 1 thing that moves the needle comes naturally to me. I excel at looking around corners to strategically avoid future risks, then making a game plan that results in sustainable growth. I also like making frameworks and using core values to take decision making from “it’s in my bosses head” to “here’s how we decide”.

The wrong hire can costs you an average of 9-12 months of salary, or worse. Leveraging the hundreds of hires made throughout my career, and the honed processes created to make hiring consistent and successful, I am an expert identifying roles, defining them, and vetting candidates to ensure a perfect fit. I developed a talk “A+ Hiring” to teach it to others with a 9.2/10 rating from attendees.

GSW Real Estate, Co-Founder
Our mission is to offer great, affordable apartments in Philadelphia neighborhoods that people actually want to live in.
I co-founded and scaled GSW Real Estate from an idea, to owning and managing 33 apartments across Philadelphia, in Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Francisville, and Sharswood, while heading up acquisitions, renovations, leasing, operations, and tenant support.
Created a “sight unseen” formula to evaluate and value properties that product high CAP rates
Acquired, renovated, leased, and managed over 30 apartments in key neighborhoods
Became one of the first licensed super hosts in Philadelphia on Airbnb
Delegated operations to a professional management company
